Grant Welham

Raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i, Grant is a turntablist, multi-media artist, educator, and mathematician. He studied at Boston University where he graduated with a BA in mathematics in 2024. During his time there, he was heavily involved at WTBU. BU’s student-run radio station and was awarded as the Fall 2024 DJ of the Semester. After graduating, he began working as a high school physics teacher in Boston.

His love for education, science, art, and culture led him to Middle Way where he spends his time exploring the intersection of these elements through printmaking, sound system design, vinyl DJing, and cultural practice.

His artistic perspective is largely inspired by his existence as a person of mixed heritage and growing up in the multicultural beef stew of Hawai’i. He joined Middle Way Art House to help create a vessel for himself and other middle people to express their way of being.
